Insight Sessions

A Different Kind of Conversation

Sometimes you're looking for something different from traditional counseling. You aren't necessarily in crisis or struggling with a mental health concern. You may simply know there is something you want to understand more deeply about yourself or your life.

Insight Sessions offer a space for deeper reflection, exploration, and self-discovery.

Rather than focusing on diagnosis or treatment, Insight Sessions invite curiosity. Together, we can explore the beliefs, patterns, relationships, choices, questions, and life experiences that may be asking for your attention.

An Integrative Approach

Insight Sessions draw from Jennifer's broader training and experience in holistic and integrative approaches. Depending on your interests and the focus of the session, this may include:

  • Guided visualization and mindfulness

  • Breathwork and nervous-system awareness

  • Dreamwork and symbolic exploration

  • Spiritual and intuitive reflection

  • Exploratory frameworks such as Human Design, Gene Keys and astrology

  • Flower essences and other complementary reflective practices, when appropriate

  • Other holistic approaches aligned with the client's goals

You don't need to know exactly what you need before you arrive. Sometimes the most valuable insight begins with simply having the space to ask your questions.

How Insight Sessions Differ from Counseling

Counseling is a professional mental health service provided within the scope of Jennifer's Tennessee LPC license. It may address emotional concerns, life challenges, relationships, coping, adjustment, and personal growth through a counseling relationship.

Insight Sessions are intentionally different. Insight Sessions are offered as a separate, non-clinical service and are not provided as counseling under Jennifer's Tennessee LPC license. Instead, they are centered on self-exploration, perspective, meaning, and personal development. They are not designed to diagnose or treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.

An Insight Session may be a good fit if you are generally functioning well but feel called to understand yourself more deeply, gain clarity around a particular question, explore a recurring pattern, or approach your life from a new perspective.

Important Note

Insight Sessions are not psychotherapy, psychological assessment, diagnosis, or treatment for a mental health disorder. If you are experiencing significant psychological distress or believe you may need mental health treatment, counseling with an appropriate provider may be a better fit.
